Make people participate in your event on Facebook

There are 3 ways of making people contribute or participate in the upcoming event:
Set up an Event
Set up a Facebook event: When you set up an event, choose a good name for your event that suits your event perfectly.
Upload an attractive photo (warm and friendly one depicting your event).
You have to make sure that the content page of your event looks alive. So, before sending an invitation to others, upload few photos and videos of your previous fair/event. You can even post a link or two on your own event wall.Send invitations to all your friends. If your event is location-specific, you have to be a bit selective in sending invitation.
Include a personal message on the invitation as it looks more professional. Do include time zone in your personal message.
Another important activity to indulge is to - tweet. Join Twitter and connect it to your Facebook account and send URL of the Facebook event page so that it is easily visible.
If the event is scheduled for later interval, the members might tend to forget it.. So, comment on your event wall periodically because each of these activities would show up in your friends news feeds.

Set up a Page
Create your page related to the event in similar way as we created the event. An important thing to consider here is that the domain name should be keyword-specific so that people can search you online. Fill up the details for your page and you can also add different tabs to it like- importing twitter feed etc.
Again upload the page with pictures and videos so that your page has rich-content and gives an impression to the visitors about you.
Similarly, invite your friends to become a fan of your page because more the number of fans, more will it show up in the search result.

Create a group
Firstly assign an attractive name for your group which catches everyone's attention like the one stated above.
Secondly, build your friends network. This is easy if you have many friends already joined to your profile. You have to simply send them an invitation stating that you have created this group and would appreciate if your friends would join it.
Thirdly, in the “related group” category that shows up in your group created page, join the relevant groups because the members of those group would also be able to view your updates.
Also participate in those group such that you are known and then post some links in those groups(either in discussion boards or wall) too but sometimes. You can also send friend invitation to the members of those groups -that share common interests.
Next, fill up every important detail in your group like- basic and contact information. Also keep your group updated with upcoming news or events. Upload pictures of previous events and ask your friends to comment on it.

Getting banned on Facebook

Many online marketing companies are rendering Facebook to promote their business and generate traffic to their site. But doing excessive activities can result in getting your profiles banned. Let’s know what “not-to-do” when marketing via Facebook

Creating too many profiles: People generally create 4-5 profiles and send huge friend requests to these profiles. This can lead to getting all the profiles banned at a critical stage because the administrator can track the IP address and hence, ban the account on the charge of spam .

Excessive wall postings: Flooding your friend’s wall with your updates or promotions can prove quite unethical on your terms and lead your profile in getting banned.

Promoting link by aggressive community postings and group joining: Don’t just send similar content links in every community posts. Neither join too many groups as it again counts to spamming.

Sending too many friend requests: Facebook may ban your account if you send more friend requests to different profiles in a single day as it would be considered “marketing” act.

Don’t send repetitive messages: Don’t send same message infinite no. of times. Sending similar mails to your friends or group members will cause your profile to get banned.

Don’t poke many: One main problem faced by many users is that Facebook’s latest application “Poke ‘em” pokes on your behalf. Anyone having Facebook account can poke you and astonishingly, there is no way to customize this application. So, its like getting punishment for a mistake that you have not committed.

Highly active: Remember the old saying-”Slow and steady wins the race”. So, start your activity in a proper manner. Being highly active will also make you a prime suspect in Facebook’s eyes. You are not desperate to get the links..Are you????

Lastly you can even get your account disabled for no reason at all.!!

Conversations can be either general or controversial. We can hope that some general topics can come to an end but controversial topics sometimes result in heated arguments.

There are some common topics that we generally love to participate in. Most of the people generally prefer talking about following topics in order to keep themselves busy:

One of the usual topic for discussion for instance is “Politics”. Whatever the place or timing be, everyone is interested to criticize the preeminent Government plans. The discussion goes endless with party favorites speaking against each other’s favorite party.

Another major topic which everyone loves to groove about is “Cricket”. “Why did Dhoni opt for batting first”, “Selection team is unjust in choosing players”, “Sachin is old enough to play shots” etc. are some of the common conversations seeded by cricket lovers.

General masses have another interesting topic to discuss about i.e. “Family”- their kids, parents, siblings etc.

Some entertaining topics can include interactions on hobbies, favorite film stars, occupation etc.

Hence, to conclude, always start discussions on something that’s common to talk about rather than interesting or exciting. Pick up the topics from your everyday life because they are the ones that will hook up every individual ideas to you.
